Finding the form through drawing

Compact emblems and flowing letterforms were explored before refining the selected direction: an expressive Arabic name, balanced by a quieter Latin signature.

Reconstructed presentation of AŞKIM Arabic lettering and Latin logo explorations based on the 2023 sketches.
Reconstructed from the authentic 2023 sketches; original sketch-sheet photographs are unavailable.

Movement in the Arabic. Clarity in the Latin.

Final AŞKIM logo with flowing black Arabic lettering, three burgundy diamond dots and a spaced Latin name.

Sweeping Arabic strokes and three burgundy diamond dots give the mark its character. The spaced Latin name anchors the composition without competing with it.

Each script has a distinct role within one recognisable signature.

The final logo toolkit

The original 2023 sheet brings together the approved logo, alternate versions, colour values and supporting Helvetica Neue typography.

Restaurant & dining context

Design: Nihad Taisir Nadam, 2023. Logo, custom Arabic lettering and a concise toolkit—not a full brand identity. Restaurant images show context; interiors, photography and signage fabrication are outside the credited scope.
